Léna François-Poulet is a classical accordion player born in Bayonne, France, in 1996.
At 6 years old, she started learning the chromatic accordion at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel Pays Basque with the great pedagogue Philippe de Ezcurra. Léna decided to pursue professional studies at Musikene in San Sebastian with Iñaki Alberdi. After obtaining a Bachelor of Music Performance, she moved to Finland for her master's studies in Classical Music Performance and Pedagogy at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki with Dr. Veli Kujala.
Léna has acquired extensive experience in performing concerts from solo to diverse artistic formations and genres. Among many other projects, she took part in the Metric project organized by the European Union in Glasgow in 2018. She performed with the Toulouse Baroque Ensemble several times. In 2019, she initiated the project BIRD with the visual artist Calypso Debrot to build a bridge between live visual art and music. In 2021, she took part in the premiere of Tze Yeung Ho's opera "Minni(e)" at the Estonian National Opera. In 2022, together with the violinist Mariane Minjou, she played at the Festival de Saint-Denis . She played for the creation of Robert Piechaud's "Urban Concerto" at the Conservatoire de Gennevilliers with the Ensemble Les Possibles. She is part of the Lyrical Company La Grande Fugue with which she performed in multiple locations. In 2025, she created for the radio France Musique "... de bord d'attaque..." by Javier Muñoz Bravo.
Léna is highly involved in teaching her instrument. She is curently teaching accordion and chamber music at the Conservatoire Départemental Paris-Saclay (Orsay, France).
Léna is currently learning bandoneon with Juanjo Mosalini at the Conservatoire Edgar-Varèse (Gennevilliers, France).
